In the world today we try so hard to be somebody were not. In hollywood aspiring actors and actresses will sell their soul to become famous, make riches or to be that poster child for a product that’s degrading to themselves and to mankind. I write this things because so many kids are watching television and trying to imitate what they see.

When will the madness stop, so that kids can be kids and people can be themselves without getting ridiculed by society and their ill intentions to make money off of people’s weakness. My mother always said, ” no matter if you do right or wrong people of the world will still talk about you. So be yourself and nothing else! We are all mirrors and what we do will reflect in a good or bad way. Be content for what you have. Don’t chase money, let it come by doing what is right. Remember that the world we live in is never satisfied and even though you may be doing great with making money, having plenty of fame and more material possessions that can last a lifetime. You will be replaced by the next who waits to take your place. I call it the conveyer belt way.

The antidote for staying true yourself is peace, love and happiness. Spend time with your family, smell the roses, let your feet massage the beach sand as you walk under the moonlight, write a letter to friends you haven’t seen in a while, wake up early to make your wife breakfast and tell the ones you care about how much you love them. Another great satisfaction is giving to the ones who have nothing! Have you ever bought someone breakfast, dinner or a cup of coffee that was homeless? If you have you will have experienced seeing a smile on their face and the relief that Hope hasn’t faded like mist.

Staying true to who you are is not about what society says you should be but what you say should be.

Hello World! My name is Tyree Washington. I’m newly retired from Track and Field after 11yrs. I have won many world titles and have broken plenty of collegiate records. My first love was football and always will be. I had my dream come true in 1999 when I got the opportunity to play for the San Diego Chargers. It was short lived but fascinating!

Now I own TSW sports consulting, which helps to direct athletes in the right direction from training tips, nutrition, mentoring, agents and getting the right coach. Within my company I have my KILLAROID campaign that was created by me. KILLAROID was created because last year two of my teammates admitted to steroid use. I lost FOUR GOLD MEDALS AND A WORLD RECORD IN THE 4X400 RELAY. My heart was crushed knowing I did it clean and right for 11yrs then to see on television that it was tainted because of my teammates.

My only way to fight back was to start KILLAROID and begin a worldwide campaign to educate the youth on the deadly effects. I see athletes all the time get popped for steroids but only to get a slap on the wrist. If it was cocaine or heroine they would be going to jail. What happened to our values and teaching our kids about the right morals? I have told the media, coaches, parents and athletes that STEROIDS WILL ULTIMATELY KILL YOU!!! It’s sad but look at Marion, Jose Canseco, Tim Montgomery and many others. When you use steroids you don’t effect just yourself but everyone that is around you

I’m a parent and I love my kids! I don’t want them to get caught up in smoke screens by parasites within athletics. I want them to have integrity, great morales and passion for whatever they do. We can all teach our kids these vital things.
